Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max Early Leak Reveals Major Rear Camera Upgrades
Early leaks surrounding the upcoming Xiaomi 18 series suggest that Xiaomi is preparing significant rear camera upgrades for its next-generation flagship smartphones. Reports indicate that the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max could introduce advanced 200MP camera sensors, upgraded periscope telephoto lenses, and improved low-light imaging performance. Rather than focusing only on megapixel numbers, the leak hints at enhanced sensor size, better optical zoom capabilities, and overall imaging refinement compared to the previous generation.
According to tipsters familiar with Xiaomi’s development roadmap, the standard Xiaomi 18 may feature a large primary sensor designed to capture more light for sharper night photography and improved dynamic range. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are rumored to adopt a dual high-resolution camera configuration, potentially combining a 200MP main sensor with a dedicated 200MP periscope telephoto lens for enhanced long-range zoom performance. The leak also suggests improvements in image processing algorithms, faster autofocus, and upgraded optical image stabilization, positioning the Xiaomi 18 series as a strong contender in the premium flagship camera segment for 2026.
