OnePlus 15T Confirmed with LUMO Periscope Telephoto Lens and Ultra-Narrow Bezels Ahead of Launch
OnePlus has officially confirmed key details about the upcoming OnePlus 15T, revealing that the compact flagship will feature a new LUMO-branded periscope telephoto lens along with ultra-narrow bezels. The announcement signals a major camera upgrade for the T-series lineup, positioning the device as a premium yet compact alternative in the flagship segment.
OnePlus 15T Camera Upgrade Confirmed
OnePlus has officially confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 15T will feature a new LUMO-branded periscope telephoto lens. This marks a significant upgrade for the T-series, as periscope zoom technology is typically reserved for premium flagship models. The camera is expected to enhance long-range photography and portrait performance with improved optical zoom capabilities.
Early reports suggest the periscope sensor could be a 50MP unit with optical image stabilisation (OIS), delivering sharper zoomed-in shots and better low-light performance. The addition of LUMO imaging optimisation is also expected to improve colour accuracy, dynamic range, and overall image clarity.
Ultra-Narrow Bezels and Compact Design
Alongside the camera upgrade, OnePlus has teased ultra-narrow bezels on the 15T, offering a nearly edge-to-edge viewing experience. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, making it one of the few compact flagship devices in 2026.
Despite its compact form factor, the OnePlus 15T is tipped to deliver premium build quality, slim side frames, and a modern flat-display design. The device is likely to target users who prefer powerful hardware without oversized dimensions.
Performance and Hardware Specifications
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15T is widely expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This next-generation processor is anticipated to bring flagship-level performance, improved AI capabilities, and enhanced power efficiency.
The device could offer up to 16GB of RAM and storage options going up to 1TB, ensuring smooth multitasking and future-ready performance. A large battery, possibly in the 7000mAh range, is also expected, with support for 100W wired fast charging and potentially 50W wireless charging.
Software and User Experience
The OnePlus 15T is expected to run the latest version of Android with a refined user interface, offering a clean and smooth software experience. Improvements in system optimisation, AI-powered camera processing, and gaming performance are likely to be key highlights.
Launch Timeline and Availability
The OnePlus 15T is expected to launch first in China, with global markets including India likely to follow shortly after. More official details regarding pricing, variants, and availability are anticipated to be revealed in the coming weeks.
With its compact design, flagship-grade chipset, and upgraded periscope camera system, the OnePlus 15T is shaping up to be a strong contender in the premium smartphone segment of 2026.
